Xiaomi decided to release a 2021 version of its popular Redmi Note 8 released back in 2021. The new model is simply called Redmi Note 8 2021. Currently, there is one single 4/64 GB model is available for ৳17,999. It is ৳1,000 cheaper than the previous version.
The main upgrade is in the Android version. We have Android 11 out of the box and there should also be an Android 12 update in the future. The back camera supports only Full HD recording now whereas the previous version had a 4K recording facility. There is a different chipset here as well. The previous Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 is replaced by a MediaTek Helio G85 which is just a very little behind than the Snapdragon 665. Other than that, all other specifications even the design and dimensions of the phone remain pretty much the same.
