Vivo Y53s: A promising mid-ranger from Vivo

Vivo Y53s teaser

Vivo Bangladesh released the new Vivo Y53s in the market with the price tag of ৳22,990 which puts it in the mid-range category. The device comes with a more typical waterdrop-notch design on the front. The backside has a stylish triple camera setup. The body is made of plastic and there is no display protection on the front.

The display is a Full HD+ IPS LCD one which will ensure a fine viewing experience. The camera of the front is 16 MP which is quite decent in this price range. On the back, we have a 64+2+2 MP setup with f/1.8 aperture, depth sensor and macro camera. However, there is no ultrawide lens. It can capture up to 4K videos and there is EIS for Full HD 1080p recording.

The battery is a fine 5000 mAh one with 33W Fast charging. We have Android 11 and we can expect an Android 12 update in the future when available but it’s not sure at the moment. There is 8 GB RAM which is great, but the chipset is MediaTek Helio G80 which is quite low at this price range. By no means, it is a competitive device for the cost when it comes to performance. Especially, it is not a phone for high-end mobile gamers. We have 128 GB fast UFS 2.1 internal storage and a dedicated MicroSD slot which is great in terms of storage.

Among other fine features, we have advanced 24-bit/192kHz audio and a stylish side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
