Xiaomi released one of the most attractive mid-range 5G smartphones of the year so far Poco M3 Pro 5G in Bangladesh. The price is set to ৳23,999 for the 6/128 GB version. The gadget comes with an attractive design by Poco which is a sub-brand of Xiaomi. There is a center punch-hole front camera and a triple back camera setup.
In terms of build quality, the phone isn’t that strong like other Xiaomi mid-range releases. We have a lower 3rd gen. Gorilla Glass on the front. Still, thanks to Xiaomi since many other brands are still releasing mid-range phones without display protection. The phone is made of plastic. There is no glass or Gorilla Glass on the back like a lot of other mid-range Xiaomi phones. But Xiaomi had to make some compromises to offer 5G at this price.
We have a Full HD+ IPS LCD screen. AMOLED would have been better but we have to remain satisfied with the IPS display here. The good news is that there is a 90Hz refresh rate. There is a triple 48+2+2 MP back camera. It is nothing extraordinary. In fact, we have a better camera in this price range from other Xiaomi 4G smartphones. But it’s still a decent camera. We have 4K recording and EIS which are great features. 8 Mp front camera is also nothing extraordinary.
We have a 5000 mAh battery with an 18W Fast Charging facility. There is Android 11 with the excepted update to Android 12 and 13 in the future. Now comes the great news. There is a fine 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset with 6 GB RAM for a smooth 5G and gaming experience. There are other faster 5G chipsets such as the 7 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G which is available in Xiaomi Mi 11X 5G priced at ৳39,999 for the 6/128 GB version. It is much faster than the MediaTek Dimensity 700. But of course, we have to look at the cost as well.
Among other features, there is a fast UFS 2.2 128 GB ROM, shared MicroSD slot, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, advanced audio quality, Infrared and so on.
