We wrote in early June about the increased price of smartphones in Bangladesh because of the low currency rate compared to USD. After that, brands kept pushing the prices two to three times again. Now, we see a maximum price upgrade by most brands. Among them, Samsung phones have the most increased prices. Especially their higher mid-range, entry-level flagships and flagship phones reached an all-time price increase record in the Bangladeshi smartphone market. Some of the most demanding and attractively priced phones such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022, Realme Narzo 50, Realme C35, Samsung Galaxy A13 and Xiaomi Redmi 10C are priced much higher now compared to what they used to be upon their release. Even lower-budget phone brands such as Symphony and Walton also increased their prices significantly for some of their models.
It can happen that in the near future that the prices may go down again or the brands come up with some attractive offers, cashback or discounts. But for now, the price increase is real. Fortunately enough, there are still phones that remained at their original price even in the lower-budget category. We are not mentioning them because the price of them can also increase anytime in the current market condition.
