Symphony Bangladesh and its owner Edison Group recently launched three new smartphones in the market. They are Helio30, Symphony Z55 and Symphony Z42 Pro. Helio is an independent brand of Edison Group but it is closely tied with the Symphony brand and is advertised under Symphony, therefore, we added Helio30 under the brand Symphony to make things easier. Helio30 is priced at ৳14,990. Whereas Z55 and Z42 Pro will cost ৳12,490 and ৳11,999 respectively.
Helio30
This is the most upgraded phone among the three mentioned releases. The design looks modern and premium. There is a center pun-hole camera on the front and the backside is made of leather. We couldn’t confirm if it is natural or synthetic leather. With 9.5mm thickness and 200 grams weight, it is more on the thicker and heavier side. We got a fine large 6.67 inches Full HD+ IPS always-on display.
There is a 48MP main camera sensor on the back which allows a boosted 108MP mode with PDAF, night mode, Full HD video recording facility and so on. On the front, we have a 16MP camera with a display flash. There is a 5000 mAh battery but only 10W charging. A 15W or even 18W charging option would have been more fitting.
The device runs on Android 11 with a fine MediaTek Helio P70 chipset and 6 GB RAM. The performance specs make it a very attractive choice in the current market. There is also 128 GB of large internal storage. Among other features, we have USB Type-C, Dual SIM, MicroSD slot, a back-mounted fingerprint sensor and so on.
Symphony Z55

Z55 is offering an H+ display as it is also priced lower. The design looks fine and there is a glass panel on the back side which is a pro at this cost. The main camera on the back is 13MP which allows a 52MP mode to increase the photo quality. On the front, we have an 8MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
There is a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging. We have Android 12, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB ROM and a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset. It’s good performance specs for everyday usage but is not a recommended device for gaming enthusiasts. We expected at least a Helio G35 chipset. A Helio G70 chipset would be more optimized for gamers. But there are very few phones nowadays around this price that will offer an Helio G70 chipset. There is a MicroSD slot, back-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, USB Type-C etc. among other features.
Symphony Z42 Pro

The design of the phone plays a big role in the Bangladeshi market for a lot of consumers. Z42 Pro model from Symphony gets very high popularity because of that. The design looks very identical to the newest iPhones which is its main specialty and major selling point. The previous Z42 also looks very similar to it. The technical specifications of this phone look the same as the Z55 model. Except that here we have Android 11 instead of Android 12.
