Xiaomi Redmi 13C is official in Bangladesh: Verdict

Xiaomi Redmi 13C Bangladesh teaser

Xiaomi Redmi 13C smartphone was already released in India and a few other markets. The device was first announced on November 10, 2023. So after a couple of months and a few days, Xiaomi officially brings it for the Bangladeshi consumers. There are three different variants and the prices are ৳14,499 (4/128 GB), ৳15,999 (6/128 GB) and ৳17,999 8/256 GB.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C highlights

Redmi 13C is a stylish and up to the mark gadget to use for 2024, there is no question about it. But is this a phone worth purchasing for its price? Where does it stand in the competition? Should I go for the unofficial or the official variant? These are some of the most frequent questions buyers ask. The starting official price is BDT 14,499 for the 4/128 GB variant. If you want to purchase a device under BDT 15,000 for more of a formal usage and you value the official brand warranty, this is still a considerable choice. But you’ll get the unofficial 4/128 GB variant for around BDT 13,000. So, you can save about BDT 1,500, that’s also something to look at.

Xiaomi Redmi 13C india price
Redmi 13C India price is ₹7,999 as of 16.01.2024

The unofficial devices are imported from India where it is currently available at a discounted price. In the Xiaomi India store, the price is ₹7,999 only (4/128 GB) right now which is just about 10,600 in Bangladeshi Taka. Although the official India price without any discount is mentioned at ₹11,999 (BDT 15,900), it doesn’t make any sense and Xiaomi will make no sale for that price considering the competition in the market. They are always sold at a discounted price like this to make it look pleasing to the eyes as a marketing strategy.

But let’s get back to the official Bangladesh model for now. The two other versions are ৳15,999 6/128 GB and ৳17,999 8/256 GB. At this price, you’ll get an HD+ screen, which is not acceptable at all. It won’t be unfair if you lose your interest in the article already knowing this fact. You’ll get a lot of Full HD+ screen smartphones above 15K budget and it’s not good value for money if you have to pay up to BDT 18,000 for an HD+ screen device. It also comes with a U-notch design and a plastic body. Performance and camera are pretty good and of our liking, but we don’t suggest paying that much for it. You’ll get the 6/128 GB unofficial variant for around 14,000 Taka and that’s a fair pricing for it. There is also no noise cancellation microphone and the sound quality is average. So, Xiaomi definitely overestimated themselves with the official pricing. Unofficial gadgets are legal and come with seller service warranty so, we suggest our reader to go for that variant if brands continue to raise their official prices in Bangladesh compared to the international market.
