Xiaomi Redmi 10 replaces Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 10: Here is all you need to know

Xiaomi Redmi 10 teaser

We have the all-new Redmi 10 from Xiaomi. This is exciting news. A lot of Xiaomi fans were eagerly waiting for this release. But the phone didn’t come out as expected. Redmi 10 is priced at ৳18,999 for the 4/64 GB version and ৳20,999 for the 6/128 GB version. On the other hand, Redmi Note 10 which was priced at ৳19,999 4/64 GB and ৳22,999 6/128 GB is not available anymore. Yes, the price was slightly higher than Redmi 10 but very similar.

We also had the amazing Redmi 9 which was priced at ৳13,999 3/32 GB and ৳14,999 4/64 GB. Compared to that Redmi 10 comes at a much higher price. But before discussing any further, let us put all these phones near one another to see the differences.

Redmi 10 Vs Redmi 9

Now, if we compare Redmi 10 with Redmi 9, we see the display is almost the same. There is an upgrade in the chipset from Helio G80 to Helio G88. But if you see the nanoreview score, both chipsets perform almost the same. G88 is just one mark ahead in the overall chipset score. So, the hype about the new Helio G88 isn’t that effective. There is a big leap in the camera in Redmi 10 compared to Redmi 9 we got to give it to Xiaomi and this is the only fair upgrade. We also have a 9W reverse charging and more advanced audio quality in Redmi 10. But we are paying an additional ৳5,000 for these updates when it comes to the 4/64 GB version which is quite frankly over the top.

Redmi 10 vs Redmi Note 10

Just for an additional ৳1,000, you could get the Redmi Note 10 4/64 GB version. Redmi Note 10 was in our number 1 most viewed phone since the time of its release till the release of Redmi 10. Note 10 came with a Super AMOLED display, IP53 certified dust and splash protection, a way superior Snapdragon 678 chipset, a better 13 MP front camera and a faster 30W charging. For all these better features, we had to pay just ৳1,000 more compared to the new Redmi 10. This is a clear downgrade here.

Conclusion

Redmi 10 is still a fine smartphone as far as the general market is concerned. But many phones are beating it in terms of pricing and features. Such phones are Infinix Note 10 (৳15,990 6/128 GB), Realme Narzo 30 (৳19,990 6/128 GB), Realme 7i (৳17,990 8/128 GB) or even Tecno Camon 17P (৳18,990 6/128 GB). You may as well go for Xiaomi’s own good old Poco M3 (৳17,499 6/64 GB, ৳18,499 6/128 GB).
