Vivo Y33s is released with fine specs but somewhat overpriced

Vivo Y33s teaser

We have a new smartphone from Vivo Bangladesh and it is Vivo Y33s. Only the single 4/128 GB model is released and it is priced at ৳20,990.

The disgn looks fine. it’s one of the major good impression fact when it comes to Vivo. it looks nice, slim and smooth. The back camera setup looks stylish. There is no punch-hole camera on the front but the older waterdrop notch design, but it fits well somehow and looks nice. We have a Full HD+ display with is quite expected. There is no fancy AMOLED quality. There isn’t even a 90Hz refresh rate option. No screen protection as well. So, it’s kind of average when it comes to the display. We have a 50MP main back camera and a 16 MP front camera. Both are pretty good given the cost of the device. But there is no 4K recording option.

We have a 5000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging and reverse charging. There is MediaTek Helio G80 with 4 GB RAM. This is not the kind of performance specification you will expect for the price. we needed at least 6 GB RAM and something equivalent to Helio G88 or higher performance chipset. There is 128 GB internal storage and dedicated MicroSD slot. But the performance gap is huge. Phones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 11, Redmi 10 2022, Realme 9i and even Tecno Camon 17P, Infinix Note 10 or the more powerful Infinix Note 11 Pro beats Vivo Y33s easily with pricing and specs.
