We have seen the new action button in the iPhone 15 Pro Max and 15 Pro models this year which is liked by most of the reviewers so far. It has a vibration motor inside with a clicky sound which gives a nice and comforting intuitive feeling. It enables the user to use various kinds and styles of shortcuts and is highly customizable to match the use and personality of the user.
Now according to the MacRumors website, next year Apple will use a capture button which is codenamed as “Project Nova”. The purpose is unclear but it may work like the physical home button of the lower-priced iPhone SE and may also have a force sensor usage. This additional button is expected to be present in all of the iPhone 16 models including 16 and 16 Plus.
It is also expected to have a capacitive Action Button which is called “Project Atlas.” It is supposed to look like the capture button and use strain gauges and reluctance motors to deliver haptic feedback.
The back camera bump may be redesigned as well with a vertical arrangement as we have seen in the iPhone 12. The screen of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to have a 6.9-inch display and the 16 Pro with a 6.3-inch display ((both 0.2 inches bigger than this year).
However, at this stage, it is all rumored and Apple is still working on the models so they may have changes in the final design.
