Xiaomi brings its next 13 series smartphones namely Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro. These phones were announced yesterday on 26th September in a Xiaomi event in Berlin, Germany. Xiaomi 13T price starts at €650 (approx. ৳75,500) (8/256 GB) and the Pro model will cost €800 (approx. ৳99,900) 12/256 GB.

These are announced for some of the European markets and as of now we don’t know in which other countries will these phones be officially available. They look very similar to the Redmi K60 Ultra which was released in China on 15th August this year.

13T is for those with a slightly lower budget who can make some compromises on the features. It still comes with a very similar and attractive design to the pro model. It has the same Gorilla Glass 5, aluminum frame, IP68-certified waterproof feature and a glass or so-called eco-leather (silicone polymer) back available for the Alpine Blue color. Xiaomi calls it “Vegan-leather” which is a good marketing term for the European market and puts a lot of concentration on environmentally friendly elements. It’s no natural leather, it just has a leather-like texture. It does (or it should) feel good in the hand and is also much more healthy for the skin while holding in the hand compared to industrial faux leather. The material is also dust-resistant and should not attract any visible fingerprints at all. If it’s not for you, there is also a glass-back model.

The display has everything that you may wish for. Up to 144Hz refresh rate, AMOLED panel, Quad HD+ quality, maximum 2600 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, HDR10 and 68 Billion colors.

The camera comes with a Summicron lens, which is jointly developed with Leica. It is called LEICA VARIO-SUMMICRON 1:1.9-2.2/15-50 mm ASPH. You’ll get blur adjustment, and Leica filters such as BW, Sepia, Natural, Vivid and so on to add a more personal and professional touch. There is up to 4K recording option with HDR10+. The 20 MP front camera doesn’t come with an autofocus but has HDR10+ for video recording which is up to Full HD (1080p) quality.

Xiaomi 13T series chipset

The charging is good with a 67W Quick Charge 4.0 charger (0-100% in 42 minutes). The Density 8200 Ultra chipset is good for gaming and is a fine deal for the pricing.

Xiaomi 13T Pro

Now here we are getting a better camera on the back with up to 8K video recording. The photography experience should be a bit better as well.

You’ll get a faster LPDDR5X RAM as well with up to 16 GB version and a top flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ (4 nm) chipset as well. It ranks number 2 in the September 2023 chipset ranking by Nanoreview, staying behind Apple’s new A17 Pro chipset. The charger is 120W which takes a maximum of 19 minutes to fully charge the phone according to Xiaomi lab tests.
