But we have chosen a clear winner. Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max still remains the camera king of the mobile phone industry.
The main reason is that Apple has a tremendous skill to merge things. Photography isn’t just about a photo. It’s an experience, it’s about perception and perspective. You look at a regular photo captured by the latest iPhone and it gives you a complete lifestyle. The design of the phone, the whole Apple ecosystem that includes their own Apple App store, their own operating system (iOS), even their own chipset and so on, all are well-merged with the kind of ambient, the color tones the photos are presenting. Their hardware and software algorithms are extremely well-integrated with all these. Of course, the image quality, details, and the ability to capture fine shots in a wide range of lights and atmosphere is prime in iPhones. But there is so much harmony, simplicity, class and pure craftsmanship with an unbeatable consistency is what makes the iPhone 15 Pro Max camera special and different from all others.
But what about the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra camera? The thing is that we have already mentioned that photography is an experience. If you just have a look at the design of the phone, it’s more like something suitable to use at home for media consumption, using the Stylus Pen or do some sophisticated modern-day work such as live translation and so on. It is not merging well with the elegant, reserved and artistic way of a photographer. It’s just that there is too much happening in the S24 Ultra. We don’t see that kind of simplicity, harmony and lifestyle in the vibe of the images. It’s just a camera to capture photos and has little to nothing to do with the rest of the device. That’s how we feel. The image quality also lacks precision in different atmospheres and lighting conditions.
Even though in many conditions Galaxy S24 Ultra will provide you better details and also better brightness, it hasn’t been able to merge things into a classy simplistic perception that Apple has managed to do. But this was always the vision of late Steve Jobs, the founder of the company Apple. He never believed in the compromise of the quality or in the genuineness of things. The company and their products are still successfully carrying on with the legacy that he left.
